Shock: Pro Baby Killing Priest Might Also Have Been A Perv
I know it will come as a shock to you, but it seems that lefty hero and jerk Fr. Robert Drinan SJ, Jesuit turned congressman, who favored the right to murder babies may have been a really bad guy. I know, I know. He has been accused of sexual assault.
I know he is dead and can't defend himself, but so are all the babies that died because of his support of abortion.People will not welcome Emily Yoffe’s allegation in Slate that Fr. Robert Drinan, the congressman-priest who became the spiritual father of pro-choice Catholicism, once assaulted her:
Several years earlier, my family had worked for the election of our congressman, Father Robert Drinan, an anti-Vietnam War, pro-choice priest. He was in town for a fundraiser or town meeting, and I went. Afterward he offered me a ride to the subway. (You’d think I would have learned.) He was in his 50s, and as he drove we chatted about college. We got to where he was letting me off, he turned off the engine, and he began jabbering incoherently about men and women. Then he lunged, shoving his tongue in my mouth while running his hands over my breasts and up and down my torso. It seems like the set-up for a joke, a Jewish woman being molested by a Jesuit. As we tussled, I had probably the most naïve thought of my life: “How could this be happening, he’s a priest!”
It is always such a surprise when such bad people turn out to be bad people, no?

I know you think your comment profound, but you missed the point. He was not bad guy because he was a liberal, he was a bad guy because he supported baby killing.
Evil knows no party lines, but it should come as no surprise that somebody who publicly supports such an obvious evil in public, did other evil stuff in private.
Pointing out that Maciel was evil too means what?

Yeah, but the popes who let Maciel operate and continue to let cardinals like McCarrick who have been sued for sexual abuse of priests and seminarians continue to live in seminaries because they donate $1 million to the papal foundation and raise money for eastern bloc catholics, they are "great" and fast tracked to sainthood...

Only God "fast track" anyone to sainthood. Whether a person has entered heaven, and God allows us to know it through a miracle, no amount of Church politics will change that.
Anonymous, your second post is absolutely correct.
Accused, Mr Archbold. Not convicted, but accused, by one woman, coming out after a very, very long time, with no witnesses. Even if true, many good priests can fall as well. Perhaps we shouldn't assume so much. In whatever case, the fault lies with us for not praying enough for priests.

Is Fr. Drinan getting a similar treatment as Herman Cain did when women accused Cain of similar actions? What did this blog say about Herman Cain's accusers? What did this blog say about Cain's guilt or innocence?
I'm no Drinian fan but she could be lying.
