A Win on Assisted Suicide

Massachusetts was voting to legalize assisted suicide which would have been terrible. But as of now, it seems the measure is going down. That's the latest anyway - and it seems to be the one bright spot of a horrible horrible night.

The Boston Globe surprisingly came out against it and Victoria "Reggie" Kennedy — Sen. Edward Kennedy’s widow — did as well, citing her husband Teddy Kennedy outliving his prognosis for almost a year.

This is some good news. So while the entire country voted for their own metaphorical suicide, at least literal suicide is still off the table in Massachusetts.
