Guess Who Likes Dead Baby Girls?

Utah is seeking to ban abortions performed for no other reason other than the baby waiting to be born is a girl. This is hardly radical since almost everyone thinks that gender-based abortion is an abomination, right?

Well, almost everyone.

[Lifenews] Republican and pro-life advocates were supposedly the ones engaging in a War on Women, but Planned Parenthood appears to be headlong into a new war on women, before birth.

Utah State Sen. Margaret Dayton is proposing legislation prohibiting abortions in the western state if sought because the baby is a girl. The measure may also prevent abortions if sought because the baby is black or another undesired race.

Planned Parenthood of Utah opposes the proposed “Gender Selection Abortion Prohibition” bill. Karrie Galloway, the head of the abortion business in the state, told media that her group is opposed to the common sense bill because it is a “solution looking for a problem” simply because she is unaware of any cases of sex-selection abortions or race-based abortions in Utah.
I am sure Planned Parenthood doesn't support murder for no other reason than being a girl. But being a girl and from Utah? That cannot stand.

Of course, Planned Parenthood have logic on their side in this: if it's okay to kill your child because, for example, he's a boy, he's got some illness or disability, he's coming at an inconvenient time, he's just not wanted - then it must be okay to kill her because she's a girl. There is no morally acceptable reason to kill your innocent child. Of course, states that allow the killing of their innocent children in utero, that have no moral qualms about this, will legislate against killing for reason of sex, if the population has become severely skewed, so affecting the state's interests in a more blatant way. The issue shows the arbitrariness, the evil, of killing our children.

This is kind of specious, dude. I mean I'm against sex selection abortion bans too )because they are meaningless) and that doesn't mean I like dead baby girls. As Lynda pointed out, the evil is the killing, not the justification for it.

If they put this into effect, it will just make most women lie "oh, it's not that it's a girl, we just changed our minds about being ready for a baby." In other words, the law won't save lives, but it will hide the problem and make abortion look less evil in the public eye.

Lynda: "There is no morally acceptable reason to kill your innocent child." The newly conceived innocent, sovereign person is legally and morally innocent, the standard of Justice for America. The practice of the virtue of charity, "or prohibiting the free exercise thereof." of the First Amendment condemns the killing of innocence and virginity.

I'll bet these folks don't enjoy that old song "I Enjoy Being A Girl" very much.

Oh, yeah, it's totally meaningless to ban sex-selection abortions—assuming that we want our civilization to collapse. Which, I mean, it certainly deserves it, but people deserve a lot of things we try to keep from happening to them.
