This is How The Daily Beast Sees Men?

This is just dopey. Weird even. The Daily Beast wrote what's actually an interesting story on Paula Broadwell's husband who by all accounts is a pretty great husband and Dad. But the beginning of this story is just so man-hating it just jumped out at me.

Call him the Good Husband, seemingly as steadfast beside his errant mate as is the proverbial Good Wife.

We had Hillary Clinton and Silda Wall Spitzer. Now we have Scott Broadwell.

The more traditional male response would have been to convert sudden hurt to instant rage and demand in essence, “How dare you do this to the king?”
That's how The Daily Beast sees men? Maybe that's how Elvis talked but I think most guys don't think like that, never mind speak like that.

It's just some weird perspective that men were all patriarchal monsters until Alan Alda taught us otherwise.

Yeah, that was just badly written. I don't know any men who respond to marital unfaithfulness that way,and in fact he would have been justified in being hurt and outraged.
