He'd be a saint for our times. Don't you think? (Whenever that happens.) Maybe we should direct more prayers his direction, given that he stared down communism with a laugh. Love this man!

There is an in-depth 8 part series that I highly recommend at www.kansas.com/kapaun . I am amazed by what he did and by his incredible faith. All Catholics and all Americans can be very proud.

I read about how he entered Pyongyang North Korea with his troops and proceeded to the derelict Catholic Cathedral. In a fury he pulled down a massive portrait of Chairman Mao from the high altar.
