Sensus Fidelium On Steroids

We've been hearing a lot about sensus fidelium recently. It's the only Latin word some Catholics will allow to be uttered. It's definition for many seems to be "what we say goes." Or if enough Catholics believe something stupid, it becomes right.

As if God gives into mob rule.

You often hear it brought up when it comes to the Church's teaching on contraception, abortion, and gay marriage. The argument goes that 98 percent of the Catholic women have used contraception so therefore the Church should change its teaching. It's really religion by poll. But Catholicism is about the gospels, not Gallup. If it were we'd be Unitarians.

"Catechism of the Catholic Church, Second Edition" - "2399 The regulation of births represents one of the aspects of responsible fatherhood and motherhood. Legitimate intentions on the part of the spouses do not justify recourse to morally unacceptable means (for example, direct sterilization or contraception)."

The disasterous failure of some Bishops and some Priests to teach the Faith accurately and completely is a significant part of the problem. These same Bishops and Priests refuse to actively and prominently encourage literate persons within their Diocese to study and Catholic Bible and the CCC which contains the Doctrine of the Faith.
They ignore the words of Popes Francis, Benedict, and JP II.

“….. let us ask ourselves if we have actually taken a few steps to get to know Christ and the truths of faith more, by reading and meditating on the Scriptures, studying the Catechism, steadily approaching the Sacraments.” Pope Francis, May 15, 2013.

CCC: " 2370 Periodic continence, that is, the methods of birth regulation based on self-observation and the use of infertile periods, is in conformity with the objective criteria of morality.
These methods respect the bodies of the spouses, encourage tenderness between them, and favor the education of an authentic freedom. In contrast, every action which, whether in anticipation of the conjugal act, or in its accomplishment, or in the development of its natural consequences, proposes, whether as an end or as a means, to render procreation impossible is intrinsically evil:
Thus the innate language that expresses the total reciprocal self-giving of husband and wife is overlaid, through contraception, by an objectively contradictory language, namely, that of not giving oneself totally to the other.
This leads not only to a positive refusal to be open to life but also to a falsification of the inner truth of conjugal love, which is called upon to give itself in personal totality. . . . The difference, both anthropological and moral, between contraception and recourse to the rhythm of the cycle . . . involves in the final analysis two irreconcilable concepts of the human person and of human sexuality."

If God doesn't smite our sorry butts soon, then He owes Sodom and Gomorrah a huge apology.

May God have mercy on us all. Holy Innocents, pray for us in spite of us.

If it is a great evil to burn babies' bodies with the trash for fuel, how great an evil is it to systematically slaughter them in heir mothers' wombs. Blessed Michael, the Archangel, defend us in the hour of battle ...

I always felt like abortion was a sacrifice to Moloch. This confirms it.

These children are rational, immortal human souls

Because "what we say goes" was so right for Sodom and Gomorrah.

I agree that this is Moloch worship at its most gruesome. I am not usually big on apocalyptic musings, but right now I feel as if the Antichrist would be redundant.

More usually the nonsense of the unfaithful ...

The mob rule mentality so prevalent within the Church today is merely an extension of the democracy attitude that is destroying America and much of western Europe. Democracy will devolve into dictatorship once the mob has destroyed every semblance of truth. It is happening in the US, Europe and apparently in the Church.

So the ultimate, utilitarian purpose to burn baby remains, was, waste not, want not? Like manna from heaven, free energy!
Since when did the demon moloch, go green? Oh, but that is why it is okay. It also destroys the evidence against the hospital, when the babies were born alive, then murdered.

Biomass burnt offerings!
Still the same unholy sacrilegious sacrifice!

Patrick Archbold said...

Disgusting. The smoke of this demonic sacrifice smells good to satan.

So much for Fidei Defensor title of the Queen. God Save Queen Elizibeth II, and convert her heart back to the One True Church.
