Obama On Capitol Christmas Tree, But No Jesus?

Well I've known for a while that some were committed to removing Christ from Christmas. I just didn't realize they wanted to replace Him with Obama.

Well, I actually kinda' did. But anyway, this story is a bit of a kick in the pants.

CNS News reports:
The 63-foot Sierra White Fir lighted at the U.S. Capitol Grounds on Dec. 6 as the official 2011 Capitol Christmas Tree includes a prominently displayed ornament paying homage to President Barack Obama, but includes no ornament readily visible to a person standing near the tree's base that uses the word “Christmas,” or includes an image of the Nativity, or bears the name or image of Jesus Christ.

On the north side of the tree--at a height of about 4 feet and easily visible to people standing near it---there is an ornament that says: “I ♥ President Obama.”

When asked whether the tree included any ornaments that mention or depict Christmas or the birth of Jesus, the office of the Architect of the Capitol, which is responsible for the tree, told CNSNews.com that it “does not have a policy nor any restrictions concerning the themes for the ornaments” that go on the tree. The office could not say, however, whether or not this year’s Christmas tree does in fact include even a single ornament that directly references or depicts Christmas or Christ.
Wow. Should we even be surprised at this anymore.

Hey, when half the photographers in the media are printing photos of the President with a halo around his head and that loser from Newsweek comparing Obama to God.

The theme, according to the Capitol Christmas Tree website, for this year’s ornaments was “California Shines.”

They recommend ornaments designed to show the rich cultural and ecological diversity of California. Wait. So is it a Christmas tree or an environmentalist shrub? That would be a bit ironic. I mean, hey let's cut down this tree and make it a celebration of our environmentalism. Does that work?

The thing is that these people will say or do anything -they'll celebrate idiotic stuff like the "rich cultural and ecological diversity" on Christmas to get around admitting what Christmas is all about.

It's about celebrating Obama's presidency, right?

  1. I can't imagine anyone putting up an ornament with any other President on it. I'm not just talking Republican.....no one would have put up a Clinton or Carter ornament on a Christmas tree.
There have been Obama ornaments since 2008.

  2. It looks like it actually reads "O*bla*ma" which is appropriate because that it what I hear when he talks...blah, blah, blah.

  3. I was just ranting to my son about BHO's over-reaching and the meme about him thinking he is god.

    Now this article. Unbelievable.

Merry Christmas to you and yours!

  4. By the way, according to Snopes.com, Laura Bush started the whole "[choose] particular (non-religious) themes for the White House Christmas trees" idea.

  5. Barack Obama swallowed his constituency whole when he began legislating from the oval office. Executive Order 13575 Rural Councils nationalizes all private property. Obamacare nationalizes all healthcare, conscripts all medical personnel and patients as employees of the state, as forced labor without compensation. As a Senator, Obama had to know that Congress makes laws. And all laws made by Congress must be the will of the people as ratified by two thirds of the states in our founding principles, The Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution.
Hitler made the trains run on time (under penalty of death). Hitler made sure every family had a car, the Volkswagon. Hitler killed the people nobody liked, the Gypsies, the homosexuals, the mentally disabled, the crippled, the sick, the Jews, the teachers, the lawyers, the priests, the ministers. Hitler used the Eugenics plan set in place by Margaret Sanger, of late, the founder of Planned Parenthood. If destiny was up to Hitler, Hitler would be the only man alive on the planet earth.
    Now, its Obama.

  6. "Only God can make a tree"...TREES by Joyce Kilmer, poet who gave his life in WWI. but it was a cedar, arbor vitae, upon which the Son of God, Jesus Christ was hung and gave up His life.

  7. I feel really bad that Obama had to put up his own Christmas ornament. Accolades and laurels are usually bestowed by the powers that be. Welcome Jesus, welcome Christmas, welcome, welcome. MERRY CHRISTMAS

  8. @9:33AM Religion is man's response to God, therefore, the Christmas tree ought to reverence God in Jesus Christ, and man in Jesus Christ.

  9. I'm no fan of Obama, but let's make sure we criticize in charity. This is one to give the benefit of the doubt.

It is obvious, this is a child's art project, likely from a school in the DC area. Is this an outrageous idea for a child in a local school district who is told the ornament will be on the White House Christmas tree?

Is it that outrageous for a low-level white house staffer to go ahead and put this on the tree along with all the other dozens of ornaments that came from kids?

Let's let a school kid have his moment of pride by not criticizing the ornament he made to honor our president (even though I pray he is a one-termer).

  10. One senses a slow slide into authoritarianism. Obama is most likely not responsible for this, but the constant imaging of him with halos around his head, his stated desire to do without Congress, his Marxist background, etc., all portend poorly for the United States as a whole.
