Uh-oh. Ron Howard Considering Making Willow 2

Ron Howard just gave us some scary news.
"I don't want to give away too much, but there is a little talk of Willow," Howard told ComicBook.com. "We wouldn't call it Willow 2, I think it would focus a lot on Elora Danan, although Willow would have to be significantly involved."
You might recall, this movie was made because the Tolkien estate thankfully refused to allow George Lucas anywhere near Lord of the Rings. So Lucas and Howard got together and made their own Tolkienesque fantasy story starring a midget instead of a hobbit -as those are particularly hard to find.

So they just borrowed an awful lot from LOTR without making it too obvious.

You have a small person living in some small village tasked with a great responsibility and in his travels he is accompanied by a few comedic sidekicks and eventually one stranger who is a great warrior but we're unsure of his motivations. Sound familiar?

The bad guy looks like Sauron and Darth Vader had a baby.

To be honest, I'd sooner go see Willow 2 before I saw the next Star Wars movie. But I don't want to do either. Willow was my first meh movie. As a kid I loved all movies. I thought Bad News Bears go to Japan was an all-time classic. And I was super excited for Willow and I came out and said "meh." The world doesn't need a sequel to meh.
