Alyssa Milano: "We are all pro-life."

Fresh off her brilliant call for a sex strike over Georgia's abortion bill, actress Alyssa Milano now says she's pro-life. In fact, she says everyone is.

“I don’t think there’s a human on the planet that is not pro-life. Nobody wants to get an abortion. Nobody. We are all pro-life,” Milano said. “But there are circumstances that we cannot avoid. There’s the mother’s health. There’s just not being ready, ya know, and what that means financially and for someone’s destiny. This is an economic issue.”

Seems to me we have a nomenclature problem here. What does pro-life mean? It seems to me that to be pro anything you must prioritize it. But if we say that "just not being ready" is more important than the life of the child or that the child's life is less important than affluence then you can't really say you're pro-life if all the other pros work out. If the child's health is good, if they're not too inconvenient or costly then and only then are you pro-life. Well that's not really pro-life.

You can say you're pro-economic security or pro-doingwhatevertheheckifeellike but you can't really call yourself pro-life. Nope. Not even close.

  1. Her claiming to be pro-life is just hilarious. Pathetic, but hilarious.

  3. Given the current state of our "culture" if she self-identifies as a human being she can certainly self-identify as pro-life.
