As if 2020 Weren't Already Bad Enough...Charlie Brown Holiday Specials Won't Air!!!

I hate to think what 2020 has in store for us next.

Fox News:

This year the lovable round-headed kid and his "Peanuts" pals won't be making their traditional holiday appearances before Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

That's because the rights to the long-popular holiday specials now belong to Apple TV+ under a new partnership.

This will be the first year that the oldest special, "A Charlie Brown Christmas," won't be seen on old-school broadcast TV since its premiere on CBS in 1965 (and subsequent run on ABC since 2001).

"It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" for Halloween followed in 1966 and "A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving" premiered in 1973.

On Monday, the streaming service announced its exclusive rights to the cartoon in a new partnership with WildBrain, Peanuts Worldwide and Lee Mendelson Film Productions.

Apple+ now has exclusive rights to the specials, whatever that is. All this technology was supposed to make everything more accessible. But with all these companies looking for their piece of the pie, things have gotten less accessible. Facebook and Twitter now decide what news you are entitled to. And networks you never heard of have exclusive rights so that unless you plunk down some money, you'll never see them.

No word yet on what specials the networks may put on.

The people in power locked us in our homes for months and now Charlie Brown specials are off the television.

So because Linus rocks, here's the best part:
