Wow! New York Times “experts” explains why “older” white population shouldn’t get vaccines first…

New York Times experts explain that older populations shouldn't get the vaccine first because they're whiter. Seriously.

Harald Schmidt, an expert in ethics and health policy at the University of Pennsylvania, said that it is reasonable to put essential workers ahead of older adults, given their risks, and that they are disproportionately minorities. “Older populations are whiter, ” Dr. Schmidt said. “Society is structured in a way that enables them to live longer. Instead of giving additional health benefits to those who already had more of them, we can start to level the playing field a bit.”…

Marc Lipsitch, an infectious-disease epidemiologist at Harvard’s T.H. Chan School of Public Health, argued that teachers should not be included as essential workers, if a central goal of the committee is to reduce health inequities.

“Teachers have middle-class salaries, are very often white, and they have college degrees,” he said. “Of course they should be treated better, but they are not among the most mistreated of workers.”

WTH?!

Yes, it makes me recall RBG's infamous defense of abortion which she believes would be used to "get rid of populations we don't want to have too many of." Looks like we no longer want white people.

The only thing that surprises me is that people are saying this stuff out loud in The New York Times without consequence. I thought we were at leave three years from that. Guess, the timetable moved up.

So, never mind that older people are prone to dying from Covid. They're white so...who cares?

  1. That sign in the picture is enlightening. "White people suck." She (I assume) is white. She sucks. Got it. She's like the rest of us: we all suck. Confession is good for that. Advent is a good time to go.

  2. "We can start to level the playing field a bit.” Wow, that is a chilling statement; basically advocating that we kill off segments of the population in the name of equality. What's next? Are they going to ask about my age, income, gender, and ethnicity if I ever call 911 to see if I deserve help? That's the problem here -- the left only sees equality in terms of taking things away, not raising people up. Because without a victimized underclass, who would the left demonize? Who would continue to vote for them?

  3. I was born into situational poverty on the farm, did 18 months in Viet-Nam and Cambodia, worked the night shift (double shifts on weekends) to put myself through university, worked and saved all my life, paid off my house at 70, had my job pulled out from under me at 71 (but it's okay; I saved) - I'm not going to die off to please some callow twit and his or her Darwinian / Hitlerian ideology.

  4. The thinking behind the NYT piece is right out of Hitler's playbook. However, given the many problems with the vaccines, chief of which is the theft of murdered babies' babies, that could be a blessing in disguise.
